Caught a Cold? Throw it back.
It’s going to happen to all of us. You’ll start sniffling or get congested, maybe you’ll have an itch in your throat, feel your head or the back of your neck get warm, a headache develops…
If you have a virus, there’s no medical cure. Medications help to mitigate the symptoms and some are very good at that. If you can’t take a day off from your obligations, you may need to rely on an over-the-counter medication to help you carry on through the worst of the initial symptoms.
But you have the power to help your body tolerate and recover from the infection as well. If you’re a NuSpecies’ client, I know that you’d actually prefer to try and get through it without medications at all.
I’m currently giving a cold the ol’ 1-2 and here’s what I’m doing:
-
Last night I went to bed at 9 pm and got a long night’s sleep. Although I’m someone that doesn’t like to go to bed, I really love sleeping once it’s begun. It was glorious. It’s so luxurious to wake up in the middle of the night and realize how much longer I have to sleep.
-
I’ve been drinking a lot of water. I add lemon if I have some on hand.
-
My NuSpecies regimen changes. I take a tsp each of NuGenesis, LNu25, and Anti-Inflammatory (upgraded, if I have it). I drink this every few hours.
-
I avoid processed foods and actively pursue PLANTS. This takes the form of fruit, green juices, salads, and fermented plants like sauerkraut.
-
Move, if I can. If it’s not a knock-me-out kind of infection and I’m mostly functional, I make sure to move my body to keep everything flowing - like taking a walk (even in the cold winter)
Here’s what I did this morning.
Here's my under-the-weather NuSpecies protocol.
