There are a large number of deadly diseases that are killing young people at increasing rates, especially people of African ancestry living in the Western hemisphere.
We must take matters into our own hands and fight off bad health. We must fight off these diseases which take so many lives prematurely.
We must fight off fibroids, anemia, and dense breasts which lead to the development of cancers in women, especially Black women who die of these diseases at higher rates than other groups. We can't ignore these issues.
We must fight off prostate and testicular issues which disproportionately affect Black men.
We must fight type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure, which can lead to heart disease – the number one killer of all humans.
Too many of us are dying prematurely of these often preventable health issues. And we're not just dying, we're suffering for years prior.
We can't just rely on the medical system. We have to continue to invent and create for ourselves, to take inspiration from the natural ways our ancestors lived. Western medicine was not created with people of African ancestry in mind, and so we can't rely on it alone.
We have to build a better future for our children and grandchildren, and we can start by educating ourselves on natural supplementation, healthy eating, exercise, and overall wellness. We have to take matters into our own hands. Our health is our own responsibility.
How have you taken responsibility for your health? How are you advocating for yourself?
