As I've been talking about on our weekly livestream and in our email newsletter, let's use this week before the holiday to finish our year strong.
I thought of some points you may want to consider as you plan your strategy for health success in 2025.
"Your health is your wealth".
This is a popular phrase for a reason and it's been reaffirmed over and over after working with thousands of clients over 20 years. Without stable health and feeling good, everything in life is so much harder.
As a NuSpecian, I'll take the leap and assume your health is one of your top values and that you may build boundaries into your life to protect your health at all costs.
There's no better way to build necessary boundaries that protect your health than by reviewing the year that has past and analyzing:
- What went well?
- What needs improvement?
- How can you best use your time to put more focus on what's most important?
Then you can plan in advance to improve your health outcomes for the year to come.
🧐 Here are some things you may want to consider while you plan your year:
- What is the status of your health?
- What are your health goals?
- Are you caring for someone else?
- Are you caring from someone else AND need to repair your own health?
- How do you want natural interventions to play a role in your plan?
- How do you want/need medical interventions to play a role in your plan?
- Which providers do you need to research or get referrals for?
- What appointments do you need to make?
- How much time off do you get with your job and what is your schedule? How much of that time off do you need to reserve to pursue your health goals? Can you make appointments around your schedule?
- Do you have access to benefits like short-term or long-term disability? Paid Family Leave? FMLA? Aflac policies are very helpful to supplement what your job doesn't provide. If your health status isn't good or that of the person you're caring for, you should be aware of the benefits available to you that can ease the burden of protecting your job while also caring for yourself or your loved one.
- Who in your life can help you in a pinch? Are they willing to sign on as someone that can be there for you during your rebuilding journey?
There are many other factors to consider. Think about what impacts your unique situation.
Go through this process in four steps:
- Clean. out. your. brain. No judgement. No thinking about the "how". No prioritizing. Just make an exhaustive list. Anything that comes up, just write it down.
- After you've slept on this, go back to the list and organize it into categories that are more digestible.
- Now make a new list by prioritizing items from each category by what's most important or what will make the biggest impact on your life next year.
- Start planning for the "how". What decisions do you need to make and what do you need to research or figure out to build these important items into your schedule next year?
