Slow Down To Get Ahead

Today is a new opportunity to make a better choice for your health.
Slow Down
Take smaller bites and chew longer. Put your car on cruise control. Think longer before you speak - If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say it at all. Put your phone down an hour before bed and listen to relaxing music.
Take a moment to think about your day-to-day routine. Can you identify an aspect that could be improved by slowing down? This can apply to so many parts of your life. Even if all you do today is think about this for the first time, you’ve challenged your status quo and planted a seed that could sprout anytime in the future.
Have you identified an aspect of your life that needs slowing down, but don’t know how to do it? Tuesday’s challenge of breathing is a great first step. When you find yourself in the moment where you need to slow down and you can’t stop yourself, just remember to breath. Deep breathing for two minutes can provide clarity and focus and calm, which may be all that you needed.
